Baselworld 2012 Spotlight: TAG Heuer Jack Heuer 80th Birthday Limited Edition Watch

A treasured item to debut at Basel World 2012 to celebrate possibly one the most influential men in the famous Swiss timepiece brand, TAG Heuer. Jack Heuer is the former CEO and grandson of the original founder, Edouard Heuer. Some vintage watch collectors may state that Jack Heuer was the driving force of the company’s creative and evoking the foundation of Tag Heuer.

In the honor of Jack Heuer’s 80th Birthday Tag Heuer will be releasing a limited edition 2012 Jack Heuer Carrera. This watch commemorates the achievements of Jack Heuer as well as the history of the original Carrera watch. The Carrera was designed in the early 1960’s and has been one of the most popular models to this day. This Carrera features a metallic sun burst face, applied hour markers and clean silver hands, much similar to the original Carrera but has few stylish red accents. Even highlights the “80” on the tachymeter scale in the same beautiful red.

It also makes use of the Calibre 17 movement much like the 40th anniversary Carrera and is enclosed in a polished stainless steel 41mm case. It is paired with a very unique and stylish black calf strap with a soft red rubber lining or available with a refined brushed metal strap. This is a truly beautiful and distinctive watch and is expected to release only 3000 units and estimated to be priced around $3900.00.
