Breitling has recently announced that they are re-releasing a cult-favorite, dating back to 1953. The AVI 765 1953 watch gets a proper and faithful reinvention of the original. The 41mm case is available in rose gold, steel, or platinum and gives off all the vintage vibes that keep the original model nostalgic in our minds. The highly-domed Hesalite crystal protects the black (or blue) dial with nearly identical Arabic numerals as its predecessor. The chronograph subdials feature small seconds, 15-minute, and twelve-hour chronograph counters. All indicators on the dial are completed with hand-applied Super-LumiNova. There are only two modifications that make this re-invention a bit more modernized. The water resistance level has been improved to reach 3 bar and the words Geneve no longer appear on the dial. This Navitimer is powered by the in-house Breitling Manufacture Caliber B09, which is a hand-wound COSC-certified movement. The stainless steel version of this watch with a black dial on a black vintage-inspired leather strap is limited to only 1,953 pieces.
