IWC 2020 Baselworld Releases

This year Baselworld, the place where watch manufacturers release their new timepieces for the upcoming season to the horological community, was postponed until January 28th, 2021 due to the Novel  Coronavirus. That being said, there is no shortage of new impressive watch designs scheduled for this summer. Certainly, one of King Jewelers’ favorite brands, IWC, recently debuted a few of their new and notable pieces.

IWC Portugieser Perpetual Calendar Tourbillion

First up, the IWC Portuguese Perpetual Calendar Tourbillion will be offered in Platinum, ref# 504505 or Rose Gold, ref # IW504504 (boutique only).  Both will be very exclusive with a production run of 50 pieces each. Notable features include Perpetual calendar, moon phase, four-digit year display and 7-day power reserve indication. Watch case measures 45mm and houses the 51950 automatic mechanical movement.

IWC Portugieser Yacht Club Chronograph

The Yacht Club, now in its third generation, takes on a new bracelet design with a more integrated look. However, this model showcases the traditional attachment between the lugs. It will be offered in both steel and 18k rose gold. It also reveals an automatic movement chronograph with a 60-hour power reserve and 60-meter water resistance.

IWC Portugieser Automatic

For those interested in classically styled men’s wristwatches, the new Portugieser Automatic is now available in 40mm and 42mm. This watch has a classic, small second hand ta the 6 o’clock position and a new version of the seven-day caliber 52010. This watch will be available in classic dial colors as well as a rich burgundy color. The hand-tooled straps will be made up of Santoni leather.
